Closest Airports and best flight times for your Kruger Park Safari
If you are planning a Kruger Park Safari and you would prefer to fly from Johannesburg, instead of taking a road trip tour, you are reading the right article.
There are 3 basic airports in and around Kruger National Park:
- Skukuza Airport inside Kruger National Park
- KMIA (Kruger Mpumalanga International Airport) / MQP and
- Eastgate Airport / Hoedspruit Airport
Depending on which Kruger Park Safari you choose, you can book flights accordingly. Please first confirm with your travel experience designer about flights and times, as each safari has different inclusions and exclusions.
The tables below indicate which airport to book depending on your choice of safari accommodation. You might however choose to book an airport such as KMIA, since it is know to be less costly, there is however a 2 hour drive to the Kruger Park.
